Location: Poole, Dorset
Starting Salary: Full time Equivalent £25,918 / Actual pro rata £20,276
Hours: Part time – 34 hours per week
Working pattern - 8.30 am to 4pm Monday to Thursday & 8.30am to 3pm on a Friday
Working days: Monday – Friday.
Contract: Permanent, term time only plus training days
There is an option for a role in addition of the librarian post of mini bus supervisor this is on an established pre school pick up route working in conjunction with the mini bus driver.

Working pattern – 7.15 - 8.30am
Working days: Monday – Friday.
Contract: Permanent, term time only
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed person to run and develop the Library in order to support Teaching and Learning across the Academies.
Main responsibilities will be:
- assist staff and students to use the Library effectively
- supervise students using the Library
- Select and purchase all stock within agreed budget
- Input data and maintain computerised catalogue including key wording to facilitate information searching.
- Issue and administer return and renewal of books and issuing overdue notices
- Run small intervention sessions for students
- Organise book clubs, book fairs as appropriate to encourage students, staff, parents & carers to purchase books or use library facilities
- Promote events to encourage reading
About you, the ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working in a library/library environment
- Experience working with young people
- A patient, calm and approachable manner
- A good understanding of computer systems
- A flexible approach to meet the needs of the school
Previous experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
