Job Introduction

The pay range for this role will be £31,537 - £46,142 (pro rata for part time colleagues) We have 3 careers grades we are working through, the salary offered will depend on the grade you are aligned to.

Role Purpose

Are you passionate about driving innovation and change?

We’re looking for a Management Information Analyst to support the delivery of the Council’s Digital and Customer Strategies, with a specific focus on building dashboards for measuring the impact of new ways of working, analysing performance data and identifying improvement opportunities.

Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you’ll develop and maintain data models, bring data to life with visualisations, and use data and insight to help shape the way the Council works.


Main Responsibilities

  • Support the development of statistical and analytical insights and reports
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that solutions meet business needs
  • Apply analytical techniques to datasets and communicate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Contribute to the delivery of sustainable improvements, financial resilience, and customer-focused outcomes


The Ideal Candidate

BCP Council is looking for someone with the following knowledge and skills:

  • Experience of designing, implementing and maintaining business insight and analysis solutions in large organisations
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting information, highlighting relevant trends or issues to support informed decision-making
  • Experience of Microsoft data management and visualisation tools e.g. Power BI and Fabric
  • Experience of preparing, managing and modelling data

The role is fixed term for 12 months and funded as part of the Council’s Customer Programme and its Continuous Improvement & Innovation Programme.

The role is 37 hours per week and offers a hybrid of home and office-based working. 

The position is based at BCP Council Civic Centre, Bournemouth.
