Office Coordinator

Location: Office based – Beech House 28-30, Wimborne Rd, Poole BH15 2BU
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £26,000
Contract length: July 2026 initially
Closing date: No later than 8am, 29th July

We’re looking for an Office Coordinator to be at the heart of our organisation, ensuring our back office functions support our extensive and developing work.

Community Action Network is a local charity that champions and strengthens a thriving and influential voluntary and community sector. We provide professional information, advice and training. Key Responsibilities:  



Office Management: 
  • Be the welcoming face of CAN at our offices ensuring staff, volunteers and visitors feel supported and welcomed.
  • Ensure our organisational phone, email and post are responded to efficiently.
  • Ensure our IT and phone systems work effectively by liaising with our IT and phone support providers.
  • Maintain an inventory of equipment and list of approved suppliers.
  • General procurement of office equipment and supplies.
  • Manage our facilities, including office and communal areas, and undertake regular risk assessments ensuring that we comply with Health and Safety law. Working with the landlords to resolve any issues.
  • Organise PAT testing of electrical equipment.
  • Manage online and physical filing.

Communications
  • Work with the team to ensure our internal and external communications are timely and accessible. Including the production of our weekly eNewsletters.

Training and events
  • Lead on the administrative support and event management for the organisation in the delivery of training, team meetings and other events including the AGM.
