Play Leader - Required for an Immediate Start
Temporary fixed term contract until 31 August 2024 (in the first instance)
5 hours per week (12:00 – 13:00 Monday – Friday)
Salary details: £22,737 – 23,114 FTE (pro-rata) (pay award pending)
Term time only plus INSET days (38.6 weeks)

We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Play Leader to join
our school midday team.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Engage children in purposeful play and fitness activities
Teach play skills and specific games and activities
Help and support children with their personal, social and emotional development needs
Monitor the behaviour of children at all times in conjunction with the school’s policy on
discipline and behaviour.
To be aware of and ensure that the school’s anti-bullying policy is followed
Supporting the school’s first aid procedures
We are looking for someone who is/can:
Well organised and can remain calm under pressure
Team player
Willing to undertake first aid training
Able to take a proactive role in the wider life of the school
Able to confidently supervise/lead playtime/lunchtime activities
Keen, conscientious and adaptable

This is a temporary fixed term position, initially until 31st August 2024, with potential to become
