Policy and Regulatory Compliance Officer

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a Policy and Regulatory Compliance Officer to join us at BCP Council. 

The role entails research, create and maintain policies and procedures, to ensure that services improve, are compliant, and reflect and analyse, stakeholder views, legislation, regulation, and strategic direction.

 

Main Responsibilities

This role involves data analysis, policy development, and stakeholder engagement within BCP Homes. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analysing data and interpreting customer information to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborating with managers to improve policies and procedures for service delivery.
  • Leading research and consultation to shape strategic direction.
  • Engaging with partners to gather views and ensure inclusive service delivery.
  • Regularly reviewing and updating policies to comply with regulations.
  • Providing specialist advice and supporting implementation of service changes.

This role requires the following skills and abilities:

  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • Effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
  • Understanding and explaining complex legislation related to housing to diverse audiences.
  • Commitment to customer care and continuous improvement.
  • Researching and understanding policy initiatives.
  • Independent work while contributing to team success.
  • Negotiation, conflict resolution, and presentation skills.
  • Problem-solving in challenging situations.
