Principal Housing Options Manager
Full time
This role leads a diverse team delivering housing options services to residents. You will bring ideas and enthusiasm to the service during a time of major challenge from rising homelessness, cost of living and renters reform whilst delivering savings through creative efficiency and effective working practices. You will be expected to work together closely with partners to deliver a modern, integrated service and efficient customer care offer that delivers the right service at the right time.
You need to be collaborative, resilient and passionate about developing and delivering frontline housing services and have an excellent understanding of the rapidly changing landscape around homelessness and housing options – with the skills and expertise to match.
This diverse role involves the management of a team delivering housing options advice, homelessness prevention and relief initiatives, housing register and allocations, and support services to residents of BCP.
BCP has higher than average house prices and a hugely competitive private rental market, creating an acute shortage of suitable affordable accommodation. Identifying effective solutions to these housing challenges including homelessness demands will not come easily, however you will work alongside a committed management team to succeed in the role.
You will have the ability to build effective and sustainable relationships with different stakeholders, including colleagues, elected members and partner organisations. Furthermore, you will be resilient, which will help drive you through the challenges you meet.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for the role
