April Court is a residential home that provides care and support for adults with learning disabilities.  This is an excellent opportunity for you to join our dedicated, friendly, innovative, and welcoming team.

As a Residential Support Worker you will be working directly with our residents to support them in all aspects of their daily lives, personal care, accessing and engaging with the community, maintaining effective personal relationships, following personal plans and assessments

What you’ll do

  • Provide care and support that promotes client choice and independence.
  • Undertake personal care duties as required including manual handling.
  • Work to required standards to comply with CQC guidelines.
  • Maintain dignity, privacy and respect for our clients. 
  • The ability to work flexibly across the week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

What you need

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 Certificate or be prepared to work towards a qualification. 
  • Knowledge and awareness of Care Act 2014 and Safeguarding legislation. 
  • A working knowledge of CQC standards and the single assessment framework.
  • An understanding of health and safety requirements. 
  • A full current UK driving licence with the use of a car and be willing to drive the homes vehicles.

 

Part-time – average 25 hours per week

Hours are between 07.30 am and 10.00 pm during the week, weekends, evenings and bank holidays as part of a fixed four-week repeating rota.

We operate services across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, ranging from Residential Homes, Day Services, Supported Living sites and Reablement Home Care.
