SEND Teaching Assistant

Heathlands Primary Academy & Pre-School

30 hours, Monday – Friday, term-time only (including working on inset days)

Salary: Grade 3 SCP 4-6, (£11.98 - £12.38 per hour)

Actual Salary: £16,048 - £17,038 per annum

Starting: March 2024

Heathlands Primary Academy & Pre-School is a one-form entry primary academy located in West Howe.  We have around 210 pupils from Reception through to year 6. We are also fortunate to have our wonderful preschool for 3 and 4 year olds on site, as part of our Early Years base. At Heathlands we believe that with effective teaching and learning and excellent partnership with parents, all children can be successful. The school is part of the Coastal Learning Partnership Multi Academy Trust; a vibrant, collaborative Trust of twenty schools working together around shared goals, values and aspirations.

We are seeking to appoint Teaching Assistants with a passion for developing and inspiring a life-long love of learning to join our dedicated, friendly and highly motivated team supporting some of our children with SEND. We are looking for enthusiastic, responsible candidates, who enjoy working with children of all primary ages, possess good inter-personal skills and have a desire to support pupils to progress with their learning and development. 

Essential requirements are good standards of spoken and written English and Mathematics to a minimum of GCSE grade C level or equivalent.  

Candidates should have the confidence and ability to help support pupils, with a wide range of SEND needs, across the 3-11 years age range.
