Hours: 31.25 [Term time, 39 working weeks, 0830-1515 daily]
Salary: Grade DSCP 5-6 (£25,583-£25,989 FTE) pro rata
Starting 18 May 2026, Fixed term until 31 August 2027.
Old Town Infant School and Nursery is a small but mighty infant school, in the heart of Poole town centre. We have a busy, thriving and positive atmosphere with impressive facilities and resources.
The school is part of Coastal Learning Partnership; a vibrant, collaborative Trust of twenty schools working together around shared goals, values and aspirations.
We are seeking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant (level 2) to work in our Resource Base. The Resource Base hosts up to ten children and focuses on developing communication and interaction, (ASD and Speech & Language).
Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, responsible person with a passion for SEND, who enjoys working with children. They should have good inter-personal skills and a desire to support pupils to progress with their learning. The post holder must have English and Maths GCSE grade C or above and an NVQ level 2 qualification for teaching assistants or equivalent.
