Senior Seafront Ranger - Multiple Roles

The pay range for this role will be £38,220– £46,142 (pro rata for part time colleagues)

Our Seafront Service is responsible for the management and development of our beautiful world-renowned coastline and we are looking for an enthusiastic, effective and committed lead officer to join our Seafront Operations Team.

 

Working directly with the Seafront Operations Manager, you would be responsible for overseeing all related operational functions, facilities and services. Whilst not an exhaustive list, the focus of these roles will be related to management of:

  • Seafront Ranger Service and other seasonal staff 
  • Beach Offices & Public Toilets
  • Health & Safety and Maintenance
  • Commercial Services (Land Trains, Lifts, Piers, Mini-Golf, Furniture, etc).

 

This is a unique opportunity requiring a special individual who enjoys working in a mutually supportive and collaborative team environment but also can work well on their own initiative.

The role includes direct line management responsibilities for Seafront Rangers and other staff as required.  

 

Candidates must have:

  • a degree in a relevant subject or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and experience in the management of a complex service within a large organisation   
  • proven experience in managing a large-scale seasonal visitor attractions or similar environments
  • strong leadership and customer service skills
  • health & safety management experience 
  • experience in managing and delivering projects and service enhancements
  • experience of managing budgets and procurement exercises

 

You must have a positive and flexible outlook, be highly motivated, can learn quickly with a desire to develop, and are passionate about delivering excellent services.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic DBS check and vetting.
