Job Overview

As a Service Improvement Officer, you will be responsible for the regular and effective monitoring and review of Providers who have a Contracts with BCP Council. Your role is crucial in ensuring that high-quality services are delivered in line with the Contract Agreement and relevant policies, procedures, and legislation. 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular Contract Monitoring visits of commissioned care providers to assess contractual compliance and ensure high standard of care delivery.
  • Engage with service providers, service users, their families, and the ASC workforce to gather feedback and ensure quality service delivery.
  • Identify and monitor trends to pinpoint risks and support providers with improvement plans.
  • Provide support, advice, and guidance to social care providers to foster continuous improvements.
  • Support Safeguarding processes and represent the Service Improvement Team at Adult Protection Investigations. 


Qualifications and Experience

  • A-level education or equivalent experience in a specialist area.
  • Qualification or training in a care-related field.
  • Experience in high-level communication with various professional backgrounds.
  • Proven experience in partnership working with a range of agencies and providers.
  • Previous work experience in a care-related field is highly desirable.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A team player with the ability to build and sustain positive relationships. 

 

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel as needed, holding a valid UK driving licence is beneficial.
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
  • Flexibility to work weekends or evenings if required for monitoring activities. 
  • The role involves a blend of office based and hybrid working including working from Provider premises across the BCP area
