Are you looking for a new opportunity in a changing and modernising industry?

BCP Council requires a Waste Site Operative based at Poole’s Recycling Centre, Nuffield Road. 

No previous experience is required.



Main Responsibilities

Daily activities include sorting waste and recyclable material, loading and sweeping, to ensure the Recycling Centre is clean, maintained and safe for all site users. Good communication skills are essential as you will be assisting with resident’s enquiries and helping with their waste and recycling.

The role can be physically demanding and involves being outside in all weathers. We want to give successful candidates the opportunity to learn new skills. Training can be provided in the future for you to learn new skills such as plant driver/operator training.

If you are a flexible, hardworking, team player, who is able to carry out instructions efficiently and is proud to get the job done well, please apply. The full-time post is 37 hours a week 9am-5pm working on a fixed rota basis, including weekends.
