Swimming Teacher - Level 2

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

Two Riversmeet Leisure Complex

Swimming Teacher – Christchurch locally agreed rate

Two Riversmeet has a thriving Swim Academy programme, with over 550 children attending each week. We are passionate about supporting people in our community to learn to swim and enjoy the sport.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver swimming teaching sessions appropriate to the level and number of students in the group.
  • Continuously monitor the progress of swimmers.
  • Evaluate sessions and give feedback
  • To be aware and pro-actively manage the health and safety of the class.

We are currently looking for casual swimming teachers to cover absences or short term increases in work load. If permanent positions become available we often look to our existing pool of staff to award these. We are striving to expand our Swim Academy, which typically runs 16:00-18:30 and at the weekends. We also support local primary schools with the swimming lessons so we are also interested to hear from applicants who are available during the school day.

You must hold a SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming (Swim England) or STA Certificate in Teaching Swimming. If your application does not show that you currently hold one of these qualifications, then your application will be rejected.
