Job Introduction

Role Purpose

We are seeking an Employability and Progression Coach to help deliver on our new UKSPF project who can coach/deliver workshops in areas such as CV Writing, Interview Skills and Job Searching (non-qualification courses). Teaching assignments will include daytimes, weekends and evenings and will cover Dorset, so flexibility is essential. 

We use MS Teams to deliver online and hybrid teaching as well as in day-to-day communications with staff. 

The roles are fixed term until May 2025 in the first instance. Both full and part time hours are available.

  • Employability and Progression Coach - coach and support learners to progress towards the workplace


The Ideal Candidate

Essential requirements for applicants are:

  •  A teaching qualification e.g., Award, Certificate or Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent
  • Level 2 English and maths qualifications e.g., GCSE at Grade C or 4 or equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ experience of Teaching or Training
  • Experience of using MS Teams

Desirable requirements:

  • Advice and Guidance qualification/careers guidance experience

Tutors are expected to adhere to the Professional Standards for Teachers and Trainers developed by the Education and Training Foundation. The successful candidate will join a teaching and learning team of some 200 staff.
