Working with schools, colleges, training providers, employers and partner agencies, you will play a key role in helping young people successfully transition into education, employment, apprenticeships and training.

You will maintain oversight of participation and destination data, identify young people who may be at risk of disengagement, and coordinate interventions to improve participation and progression outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people, building strong partnerships and making a tangible difference to the lives of those facing barriers to education, employment and training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track, monitor and record participation and destination data for Year 12 and Year 13 young people.
  • Identify young people at risk of becoming NEET and implement targeted interventions to support continued participation.

  • Deliver impartial careers information, advice and guidance through one-to-one appointments, group sessions and outreach activities.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, colleges, training providers, employers and partner agencies to promote positive destinations.
  • Use destination and participation data to identify trends, monitor risk and support service improvement.
  • Contribute to local authority responsibilities relating to participation and the tracking of young people's destinations.
  • Maintain accurate records and case notes in accordance with data protection and information governance requirements.

About You

You will have:

  • Experience of working with young people, particularly those who may face barriers to participation or progression.
  • Knowledge of post-16 and post-18 pathways, including further education, apprenticeships, training and employment opportunities.
  • Experience of providing careers guidance, employability support or targeted interventions for young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with experience of maintaining accurate records and managing competing priorities.
  • A commitment to improving outcomes, raising aspirations and supporting positive futures for young people.

Desirable

  • A Level 4 or above Careers Guidance qualification.
  • Experience of working within a participation, NEET prevention or destination tracking role.
