Two Riversmeet is a multi-award winning leisure facility which serves a brilliant community in Christchurch. Our membership base is strong and drives our passion for development and continual improvement of the service. The leisure centre offers over 60 fitness classes each week, modern and well-maintained fitness suites, a range of pool based activities and children specific activities. 

Role Purpose

To have operational responsibility for the day to day operation of the leisure facility. This would include overseeing staff on shift, activity and equipment changeovers, completing mandatory and statutory checks in line with health and safety policy.

 

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for the day to day operation of fitness facilities

Ensure all customer care is adequately met 

Ensure that all facilities are clean and comply with health and safety standards 

Provide staff supervision and promote a positive, professional and enthusiastic working environment

Responsible for the day to day operations of the designated leisure facility

 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate would have experience in working in the leisure industry; ideally in a similar capacity and with good understanding of the challenges and requirements of managing a busy and dynamic leisure facility. They would have excellent problem solving skills, be flexible, adaptable and approachable. They would be able to deal with customer comments or enquiries in a professional way.

The candidate would have excellent understanding of Health and Safety and be able to apply the knowledge in the leisure setting. 

 

We are looking for 3 x 4 hour shifts per week- which could be held by one or more candidate/s.

This role is required throughout the year so would not be available as a 'term time only' option.

The job role requires shift work to cover all operational hours of the facility, as agreed on a rota basis.

Hours of operational are: Monday to Friday 06:00-23:30 and weekends 07:00-21:00.
