Job Introduction

Adult Social Care is seeking to recruit a confident, innovative and creative Head of Service.  You will have substantial experience within health and social care and will have held a leadership role in this field.  You will be able to demonstrate the necessary leadership skills to empower and support our staff to deliver excellent professional practice to our residents.

Applicants need to demonstrate a high level of competency and skill in budget, resource and time management; an ability to confidently manage competing service priorities and the necessary organisational ability to deploy resources to manage identified risks.

With strong communication skills you will be able to connect, engage and negotiate effectively at all levels with the confidence to make clear informed decisions.  You will have the ability to work flexibly and effectively within a defined area and experience in partnership working with Statutory, Private and Voluntary Sector Organisations.

The role expects participation in strategic service development, innovations and projects. 

We are keen to hear from you if you have been part of driving Discharge to Assess (D2A) and have a strong knowledge around health & social care approaches to joint funding and continuing healthcare as well as insight into integrated neighbourhoods.

The successful applicant will be paid for this role at BCP Council band P (£63,205 to £67,236) along with a labour market supplement £11,500 subject to Pay & Reward implementation. 

Applicants must hold a professional qualification and be registered with Social Work England, the Health and Care Professions Council or the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
