LGV/HGV Driver

Job Introduction

Are you a team player with excellent customer service skills looking for a new challenge

BCP Council is looking to recruit an LGV/HGV Driver who is flexible and willing to drive a range of vehicles.

We operate a Commercial Waste refuse, recycling, skip and bulky waste service within the local area. In addition, site work is required at our three recycling centres to service the RORO containers.

The full-time post is 37 hours a week working on a rota basis. It may involve some weekend working, early starts and some late finishes.

Good communication skills are essential as you will be speaking to our commercial customers and members of the public.

If you are a flexible, hardworking, team player, who is able to carry out instructions efficiently and is proud to get the job done well, you will be an asset to our team.

If you would like to have an informal discussion, please contact Laura Neil, Commercial Waste manager on 01202 128073 or Ellen Adby, Commercial Waste Site Supervisor on 01202 126692.

Our Benefits

We offer an excellent benefits package to colleagues. Find out more on our website.

As a result of the creation of BCP Council in 2019, we are working on simplifying our terms and conditions of service and will be creating a single pay structure which is to be applicable for all employees. It is important to us that we offer benefits that our colleagues value as part of their total employment package and we are reviewing these to make sure we have it right. We are in the process of establishing a timescale for implementation and colleagues joining us will be included in these changes. This is expected to be in place in 2025.
