Night Support Worker

Job Introduction

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join our team at Leven House as a Night Support Worker.

Leven House is a supported living service located close to Bournemouth town centre within walking distance of bus routes and the train station. It provides supported living accommodation for adults with severe and enduring mental health conditions. 

What you’ll do:

  • Providing a waking night service which ensures residents’ safety and well-being needs are met.
  • Supporting residents who may require emotional or physical support throughout the night. 
  • Undertaking cleaning duties as required to ensure health and safety.
  • Maintaining accurate case notes and other documentation.
  • Handing over to the day staff with any relevant information from the night shift.
  • The ability to work flexibly across the week including weekends.

What we’re looking for:

  • Knowledge of Health and Social Care legislation.
  • Understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults.
  • The ability to communicate with people who have complex needs and behaviours.  
  • Ability to handle, deescalate and support challenging behaviours.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Hours – 35 per week

We provide high quality care and support to older people; people with physical and learning disabilities; people with mental health needs; dementia; carers and clients’ families. This extends to respite care for families and carers.

We operate services across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, ranging from Residential Homes, Day Services, Supported Living sites and Reablement Home Care.
