Join our dedicated team as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and help make a real difference in people’s lives.
Coastal Lodge is a 36-bed unit that provides short-term rehabilitation and reablement care, supporting individuals on their journey toward regaining independence and returning home.
What you’ll do
- Undertaking assessments of people’s needs in accordance with policies and procedures and working closely with the individuals, their families, carers and other professionals.
- Preparing care plans for agreement by the Occupational Therapist and ensuring they’re actioned.
- Reviewing assessments and care plans and agreeing changes with the Occupational Therapist.
- Providing suitable equipment to enable people to be independent in daily living activities and instruct and train carers and service users in the correct use of equipment.
- Travel to different services and settings to offer therapy and advice.
What you need
- Experience of completing risk assessments.
- Experience of working with adults.
- Experience of multi-professional working.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Competent and up to date ICT skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with, and the safeguarding of adults is desirable.
- Valid UK driving licence with use of own vehicle.
Full-time - 37 hours per week
