Job Introduction
From 1 December 2025, our refreshed Pay and Reward package comes into effect, bringing a new approach to how we recognise and reward roles across the Council. This means the salary for this role will be changing. The pay range for this role will be £42,839 – £49,282 (pro rata for part time colleagues) from 1 December 2025.

Senior Housing Options Officer
Working in the Strategic Housing Options Team at BCP is incredibly fulfilling. As a Senior Housing Options Officer, you'll be part of a large team of dedicated Senior Officers who are committed to helping our staff achieve their full potential. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the Housing Options Team as a Senior Housing Options Officer.
12 month contract
Could you support positive change in people’s lives?
If you can:
- Supervise a team of housing practitioners delivering housing advice and homelessness support
- Help to motivate and guide teams to deliver person centred support for customers that are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
- Assist in the delivery of and development of homelessness services within BCP
- Communicate effectively with customers, face to face and over the phone to maximise engagement and positive housing and support outcomes
- Work with a varied workload, and be able to juggle ever changing priorities
- Represent Housing Services at case conferences and multi-agency meetings
- Develop and maintain partnerships with relevant agencies to ensure holistic support for customers to access and maintain accommodation.
- Understand the Homelessness Reduction Act and guide teams to proactively work to prevent homelessness.
