After School Club Assistant

Canford Heath Infant School 

7.5 hours per week (Grade C – Point 3 - 4) 

£24,027 - £24,404 per annum pro-rata
 
Actual salary £4,044.38 to £4,107.84 per annum

7.5 hours per week - 3pm – 4.30pm Monday – Friday

 

Term time only

We are seeking enthusiastic, organised and hardworking individuals to join our friendly After School Club team. We have opportunities for both an After School Club Coordinator to lead the service and an After School Club Assistant to support its day-to-day operation.
 

Our After School Club provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment where children aged 4–11 can develop personally, socially and educationally.

 

About the Roles

 

Coordinator
 As After School Club Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading the daily running of the club, including:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering a varied programme of imaginative and engaging activities.
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks.
  • Overseeing the safe collection and transportation of children between our schools and the club.
  • Managing and leading staff and maintaining accurate administrative records.

Assistant
 As an After School Club Assistant, you will support the After School Club Coordinator in delivering high-quality childcare, including:

  • Helping to set up and clear away rooms, play equipment and resources.
  • Supporting children’s play and learning while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • Assisting with maintaining attendance records and contributing to the continuous improvement of the club.

If you:

 

  • Have experience of working with 4 – 11-year-olds and their families and a suitable childcare qualification
  • Have understanding and commitment to good quality childcare
  • Are cheerful, flexible and approachable
  • Have energy and enthusiasm and use your own initiative
  • Work well in a team
  • Have excellent communication and administration skills
  • A can-do attitude to overcoming obstacles
  • Preparedness to go above and beyond
  • Resilience and stamina
