Job Introduction

Role Purpose and Responsibilities

Due to our expanding service, we have multiple exciting opportunities to join BCP’s Lifeline Control Centre in the role of Telecare & Out of Hours Operator. Lifeline provides a wide range of services across BCP and wider areas 24/7/365.

The 24hr Control Centre is a multi-functional environment providing various services including alarm calls handling for the telecare service and general calls handling for all council services out of hours.

Operators also provide a mobile response service to some of our telecare clients, involving staff going out to client’s homes to assist when there is an emergency. This service includes ‘assisted lifting’ for non-injured fallers using specialised equipment.

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants should be able to work under pressure, have excellent communication skills and a focus on customer care. You will need to have a flexible approach to working patterns and will be required to work a variety of shifts covering the 24/7 service.
